Groove-induced alternative crew DYING HABIT have unveiled their intoxicating new single and video, Puzzles.
Based on the rugged island of Anglesey, Wales, and fronted by brooding and emotive vocalist Nathan Jones, DYING HABIT hurl out potent alt-rock framed by hooky refrains and backed by the pulsating rhythm section of Mark Jones (drums) and Daniel Garner (bass); the quartet are completed by the cultured riffery of guitarist Alan Hart.
Upon their formation, DYING HABIT set loose their debut single, Unrealities, in 2018. The band followed on with the release of their debut album, Until The Air Runs Out, which arrived in 2020. The record showcased an encyclopedia of influences, strong variation, and imagination, all inspired by the recent pandemic.
Last year, the assiduous four-piece worked with esteemed producer, Al Grooves, on the new track, Directions. This has put down a serious marker for the band. In the Spring of 2023, DYING HABIT collaborated again with Al Grooves on their incoming single, Puzzles, and the result has been electrifying. The band’s new single is everything you want from a sizzling alt-rock cut – it’s hooky, loaded with guitars, anthemic, and packed with thunderous beats.
With acclaim for a live show that is gloriously booming, energetic, and interactive, DYING HABIT are on the upward curve. And now with a series of shows on the way for later this year, and further recorded work set to arrive, 2023 is poised to be a monolithic year for DYING HABIT.
