Fast-rising South Wales quintet, YAKI DAH, have laid down a gauntlet with their all-consuming new single and video, Hills In The Night, which is out now.
YAKI DAH exploded like a force of nature onto the alternative rock scene in 2022, featuring the fierce talents of Christian Sayers (vocals), Jack Williams (guitar), Jack Lee (bass, backing vocals), and Francesco De Muro (drums, backing vocals). This inimitable foursome wasted no time captivating audiences with their infectious energy and bluesy, punk n’ roll sound. Now, with the addition of Dylan Hampson on bass, enabling Jack Lee to jump on lead guitar duties alongside Jack Williams, their sound has evolved into a harder, edgier, and more intense experience, with the twin guitars adding a new layer of depth and intrigue.
YAKI DAH’s debut single, Do Me Wrong, yielded substantial airplay from major radio stations such as Planet Rock, HRH Radio, Total Rock and ERB radio. Their follow up, You, Me and Lee proved to be another roaring success further cementing their place as an unstoppable emerging act. By drawing from legends such as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, along with more contemporary rock heroes like Wolfmother, Clutch and Bring Me The Horizon, YAKI DAH adeptly blend the classic with the modern, and by inserting their distinctive personality into the mix, the end-result is truly gratifying.
In addition to amassing a devoted crowd of followers throughout Wales, the band have also increased their fanbase to a wider level. Hugley impressive shows throughout the UK have certainly aided in their cause, and this year’s festival diary already includes Blackpool’s Winter Gardens for Love Live, Sheffield Corporation for Steel Paws Festival, SharkFest, HRH and many more to follow.
YAKI DAH kick off a busy year with the release of their scorching new single, Hills In The Night, which is the ideal powerful showcase piece for the emerging rockers. The band comment about the single: “This is more than a song; it’s our sonic journey under starlit skies. A symphony of passion and creativity, it represents our best work yet. We’re thrilled to share this musical odyssey with the world, inviting everyone to experience the magic woven into each note and lyric.”
The band are already preparing for their debut EP, which will arrive later this year, and with the promise of further profile live performances and releases throughout 2024, this is YAKI DAH’s time to shine.
