New Motley Crue guitarist John 5 is already hard at work with his bandmates on a new album.
Nikki Sixx posted a photo of him, Tommy Lee and John 5 in a recording studio. The accompanying caption reads, “Another killer songwriting day with Tommy Lee and John 5. We are writing. The creative process of songwriting has always been the heartbeat of our band. We’re gonna go in the big studio next week and record a few off the floor and see where it goes.”
John 5 joined Motley Crue in October as a replacement for Mick Mars, who quit over his deteriorating health. Unfortunately Mick Mars has sued the band and even claimed he was “fired”. The situation is most likely not going away any time soon as the war of words has continued in the media. Motley Crue’s manager as even made claims that Mick Mars is a victim of “elder abuse” by his own attorneys. Mars is 71 for the record.
Regardless of who is responsible for what it’s another example of how the music industry tends to rear it’s ugly head. Money, greed and pride are certainly involved. Let’s hope the story ends with everyone back on the same page.
